This post is actually a little depressing for me considering I had a hair cut at the beginning of this week and it's now just past my shoulders - so these long hair styles are pretty much off the cards for me. Well so I thought so, until I was introduced to the concept of hair extensions by a company called Best Hair Buy. I've never really considered wearing hair extensions because I tend to think of them as a pain to put in and just a waste of time really! However, these 22 inch clip in hair extensions make application simple with the suggested application time only taking 3-5 minutes. I'd definitely be willing to spend only a couple of minutes in application to get long luscious looking locks, and of course, application would only get easier in time so in my opinion, hair extensions are seeming more and more appealing.
Here are my favourite long hair styles:

1. The Waterfall Braid
I love absolutely adore this hair down, waterfall braid look. It's a really versatile hair style as you could wear it both in the daytime or evening. Alike the picture, you could add some curls or waves for a more relaxed look or you could have your hair poker straight instead. Spray it with a ton of hairspray to keep your waterfall braid looking perfect all night long.
2. The Fishtail Braid
It's a simple plait with that little something extra. I love fishtail plaits because they're so easy yet so beautiful. They're perfect for a festival look this summer and are great for keeping your hair out of your face and out of your way but it's still a fashion forward look for sure. Sticking with the festival theme, you may even want to thread some flowers through the plait or add a streak of colour using a wash out hair powder (I love the Kevin Murphy Colour Bugs! - review to come).
3. The Ponytail
Ponytail updos are about as simple as they come - literally just chuck your hair up. However, there are so many variations you could play around with to create your perfect look. For example, you may want to secure your ponytail with a bow, ribbon or flower for a really girly look. To complete it, add a few curls and again spritz with hairspray. Or, for a more tousled look, apply a bit of mousse to your hair beforehand to give your hair some texture and back-comb the roots before taking your hair back into a quiff then securing in a ponytail. Back-comb your hair near the hair band to complete the "just woken up but still looking fabulous" look.
